All the information you need to make a successful application to university or any higher education institution can be found in the attached booklet. This resource includes key dates and deadlines to help you stay organized. If you have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Sixth Form team.

The only way to submit an application is through UCAS. Detailed guidance is provided in the UCAS booklet, which students can find on their year group Google Classroom page.

Careers Support

At Mayflower High School, we are dedicated to preparing our students for the working world. Our Independent Careers Advisor is available every Wednesday to discuss career choices, job-seeking strategies, and the university application process. Students can make an appointment through the Sixth Form Office.

 

For students planning to enter the job market directly after Sixth Form, we host a Job Seekers Day in June. This event equips students with the skills needed for their job search. During dedicated pastoral sessions, students will work on CV writing, interview techniques, and attend presentations from job agencies, apprenticeship providers, and industry leaders.

The Sixth Form team is here to assist students with application forms and prepare them for job interviews. We are proud of our excellent success rate for Mayflower students gaining employment following their examinations.
