Higher Education/UCAS

All the information required to make a successful application for university or any other higher education institution can be found in the attached booklet, including all of the key dates and deadlines.  If you have any concerns or queries, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Sixth Form team.

The only way to submit an application is through UCAS.  Guidance is provided in the UCAS booklet that students can find on their year group Google Classroom page.

Careers

At Mayflower High School we are dedicated to preparing our students for the working world. Our Independent Careers Advisor is available on Wenesday to discuss careers choices, job seeking and the university application process. Students can make an appointment via the Sixth Form Office.

All students directly entering the job market following Sixth Form attend a job seekers day in June to prepare them for what is required in the search for employment. During dedicated pastoral sessions the students work on their CV writing skills and interview techniques and attend sessions from job agencies, apprenticeship companies and leaders from various fields of employment. The Sixth Form team are happy to assist students with application forms and to prepare for job interviews.

The success rate for Mayflower Students gaining employment following their examinations are excellent.
