It gives us great pleasure to introduce our two Head Students, Divine and Leon.

Having applied for the role and been successful, they now lead our student leadership team and serve as outstanding ambassadors and role models for all students at Mayflower High School. We thank them for their ongoing contributions to the life of the school.

Message from Divine

Being Head Student has been a transformative experience that has helped me grow both personally and academically. The role involves representing the student body, leading by example, helping to organise school events, and acting as a bridge between students and staff. It has strengthened my confidence, communication, and leadership skills, while also teaching me the importance of responsibility, teamwork, and time management. Being trusted with this position has encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and strive to be a positive role model. It’s an amazing opportunity, as it allows me to make a real impact within the school community, contribute to positive change, and prepare for future leadership roles.

Message from Leon

Being Head Student of Sixth Form has been an incredibly rewarding experience, allowing me to develop my leadership skills while giving back to the school community. From chairing the Sixth Form Council and the Executive School Council to helping at open evenings, delivering speeches, and working alongside staff to support school events, I’ve taken great pride in being a positive role model. The role has helped me grow in confidence, responsibility, and communication, and it has been an honour to contribute to the warm and welcoming environment we have at Mayflower High School.
