Jack Petchey Achievement Award
Mayflower High School is proud to be part of the Gold Achievement Award, where both staff and students can nominate individuals to receive a Jack Petchey Achievement Award throughout the year.
Students are recognised for a wide range of achievements – some are personal, while others reflect significant contributions to school life. Recipients are celebrated not only in school, but also at a prestigious awards evening at the Towngate Theatre in Basildon, alongside other local schools and community groups.
Examples of achievements include:
- Helping others beyond expectations
- Being a positive role model or mentor
- Demonstrating resilience
- Overcoming personal challenges
- Volunteering
- Breaking through a personal barrier
Each winner receives £300 to spend on a project or initiative that benefits the school community.
The school also takes part in the Leader Award, recognising the dedication and impact of staff who contribute to our school and wider community.
